2010 Alliances in LNG, new business and a more public face

  • PNGDF – 3 million hours free LTI reached in February
  • Launch of NCS Raibus Challenger to service Basamuk & Rai coast
  • NCS awarded 4 year contract by Lihir Gold for catering & camp administration
  • World class mess opens on Lihir in September
  • NCS Properties awarded construction contract for Lakenbut 1000 man camp on Lihir
  • Construction of warehouse for LGL and completion of villas for Anitua Group
  • Addition of Coca Cola Amatil, KK Kingston, Xstrada, East-West Transport and Nestle contracts in Lae
  • Commenced catering operations at IBBM in Port Moresby
  • NCS commence apprenticeship program in partnership with William Angliss
  • The Alliance Group awarded EPC 3 contract in July – largest hospitality contract in PNG history

2009 A fresh new face and a new beginning

  • Launch of the new NCS Logo and identity, in conjuction with the relaunch of Anitua Group
  • Hidden Valley increased to 2400
  • Basamuk increased to 2000+
  • Renewed PNGDF contract for a further 5 years
  • Commenced operations at Wau Small Scale Mining School
  • Launch of the Recognition and Reward Program for 5 year & 10 year of service
  • Launch of The Alliance Group to service the LNG project – a joint venture with GCC Services.
  • Commencement of MOPU project on Lihir

2008 Further growth and expansion

  • Hidden Valley numbers increased to 1200+
  • Basamuk grew from 200 to 750+
  • NCS Lihir took on the full management & operations or the Club
  • August – achievement of 5 million + hours free LTI on Lihir
  • August – as a group NCS served over 750,000 meals in the month
  • NCS Lihir reconfirms ISO accreditation
  • NCS to open Kurumbukari (mine site operations for Ramu NiCo) in November
  • Extension of Hidden Valley contract to the end of construction phase

2007 NCS continues to grow

  • Extension of PNGF contract to end of 2008
  • Hidden Valley commenced construction phase – 3 camps
  • Tendered for and won the Ramu NiCo project – catering contract in Madang Province
  • Mobilised Basamuk (Ramu NiCo) in October

2006 Renaming to NCS

  • THe company formally becomes NCS Holdings Limited.
  • NCS confirmed a three year contract with University of Technology Lae
  • Commenced canteen operations at SP Brewery and Trukai Rice in Lae
  • Established Kumul Fresh Foods
  • Extension of accommodation facilities on Lihir – DY camp

    2005 Commencement of three new ventures

    • NCS invited to takeover the catering services for University of Tehnology – Lae
    • NCS establishes Wau Fresh Produce
    • NCS designed and  constructed a 400 man camp on Lihir Island

    2004 Expanding services throughout PNG

    • Niolam Catering Services becomes Nationwide Catering Services
    • PNG Defence Force invites NCS to tender for the contract to cater for 1400 staff over 10 sites throughout PNG.
    • NCS awarded the contract for Hidden Valley
    • NCS commenced operations at Kainantu Gold

    2001 Stepping off Lihir

    • National Fisheries College at Kavieng catering contract won

    1998 ISO Accreditation

    • Niolam Catering Services achieves ISO accreditation

    1995 Lihir Mining Company Contract

    • Niolam Catering Services was awarded the camp and catering management contract from Lihir Mining Company (LMC)

    1993 Establishment of Niolam Catering Services

    • Originating on Lihir Island the company was established in 1993 as Niolam Catering Services – a Landowner joint venture company on Lihir Island, New Ireland Province.
