Australian High Commission takes on NCS

When Management at the High Commission were ready to renew their catering contract – they said NCS was the supplier of choice. They had already experienced quality of food and service at previous events catered over the years including the Anzac Day Gun Fire breakfast, BBQs and the occasional formal dinner.

“We have made the right choice with NCS” said a representative of the AHC “Overall, NCS food is of a high standard and the service is second to none! NCS staff are always friendly and eager to please.” said an AHC representative.

This contract is a little different to our usual canteen contract, as daily service expectations are at a 5 star standard. “This is the kind of opportunity we look forward to – to showcase our abilities to service Corporate Catering expectations because of the business level people we are serving, which is different to commercial catering on mining sites or other kinds of industrial level canteens” said General Manager of Operations, Brian Curran.

Prepared and served daily is a selection of fresh, healthy food including, sandwiches, wraps and salads as well as a variety of hot dishes like roasts, curries and vegetarian dishes. Of course, there is an espresso machine for cappuccinos, lattés and short blacks!

Impressing Coca Cola Amatil

August 17, 2010 by

NCS’ reputation for delicious food and exceptional quality service received the highest accolades from visiting VIPs at Coca Cola Amatil in Lae.

When client CCA needed help in planning and catering for two very important functions, they worked closely with NCS’ Operations Manager Brian Curran and the team at NCS Morobe to plan and deliver these two functions.

CCACCA’s National HR Manager Raymond Lohia thanked Brian and his team most sincerely on behalf of his own team and Management, who dined on a magnificent spread prepared and served by NCS under a swathe of red Coca Cola umbrellas at the company’s facility in Lae.

Mr Lohia was also most impressed by how our senior management take a hands-on approach to the finest details, ensuring that client’s needs are anticipated and well “catered” for, wanting to acknowledge the fact that our management were “hands on and “on the ground” with his team serving.

“It speaks a lot about how much you value our business and how much you know yours! You knew what we needed to put on the plate and at our most important event, for our VIPs, you delivered” Mr Lohia continued.

“Everything we planned together happened accordingly and I was really impressed with the food, the service and the fact that we managed to feed 380 employees within 30mins…EXCELLENT! NCS are so very professional in their conduct and approach and our people loved it,” he went on to say.

“Our VIP’s were very impressed with NCS. Our GM expressed to us also that we value the relationship that we are developing with NCS and we’re looking for opportunities to continue build our relationship. We consider you “tru wantoks”.

NCS serves over 200 meals each day to the staff at CCA in Lae. Congratulations to the NCS Morobe team for delivering exceptional quality food and hospitality services that result in very happy clients like Coca Cola Amatil PNG. You do NCS proud.

Nothing But the best for Governor General

November 12, 2008 by

It’s not every day that you get the honour of catering for a digitary as important as Australia’s Governer General, so it was with much excitement that NCS – PNGDF prepared for the BIG arrival of His Excellency, Major General Michael Jeffery, on his last state visit to PNG.

THe offical visit took place at Taurama Barracks, where the Governer General was stationed as a Major in the Australian Army, commmanding PNG Soldiers.

An event such as this takes considerable planning. The team worked like clockwork arranging menus, wine lists, seating plans, right down to the flowers that were on the tables.

With the menu set and agreed upon, the chefs, apprentices and kitchen hands all rolled up their sleeves to ensure that function was one the Vice Regal couple would always remember.

For NCS Apprentice Chef, Eliza Ani, it was an opportunity of a lifetime. Providing advice on the buffet menu, she said she was thrilled to be able to assist at such a special event.
