NCS Kainantu Limited has been in operation since August 2004. It is a 50/50 joint venture with BilDevCo Limited (Bilimoia Development Company) – a landowner company representing the Bilimoia landowners of the mining lease area.
The Kainantu Gold Mine owned is owned and operated by Barrick Gold – currently the world’s no. 1 gold producer.
Kainantu Mine was formerly owned and operated by Highland Pacific Limited until December 2007 – NCS Kainantu has been priviledged to witness the mine change hands and continue to service the new client.
Kainantu Camp Profile
Kainantu is Situated in the Eastern Highland Province, the site a couple kilometer away from the Ramu River which borders with the Madang and Morobe Provinces.
The site is currently inconstruction phase and NCS Kainantu caters for a total of 600+ residents across three sites.
- Kumian Camp – the main camp
- Miners camp – 1400 meters
- ‘Kora Exploration camp – 1600 meters and is accessible by chopper and road which sometimes is impassable during raining seasons and can be a logistical challenge.
Facilities:
- Catering and Camps Services in cluding cleaning and janitorial
- We also procure and supply dry goods and consumables to Barrick Exploration teams engaged within the area.
