NCS Raibus Limited was formed in 2007 to provide complete catering and ancillary services at the Basamuk processing plant for Ramu Nico National and Chinese employees for the Ramu Nickel/Cobalt Project

The plant overlooks Astrolabe Bay near the Biliau Mission Station and is part of a 5 year contract and the group’s newest and most challenging operation in PNG.

Basamuk Camp Profile:

  • Residential camp for over 3000 Ramu NiCo Chinese and PNG National employees.
  • Food services and catering for three meals a day
  • Corporate Catering for Ramu Nico VIP’s and Chinese Calender events

Facilities include:

  • 2 Mess facilities (1 under construction)
  • Sporting facilities such as basketball courts\
  • Housekeeping and Laundry
  • 1 recreation room
  • 1 TV room
  • Medical Facility
  • Accommodation Blocks for Chinese and PNG Nationals
  • Processing Plant (under construction)
  • Wharf Area (under Construction)

Planned site expansions:

Mobilise and provide complete catering and ancillary services to the Kurumbukari mine site with up to 800 Chinese and PNG Nationals and over 50 NCS/Raibus employees.

Campsite Design and construction:

  • Completed by ENFI under an agreement with Ramu Nico
