University of Technology Lae
At the Lae University of Technology, our consultative approach with our client has led to focus on the delivery of a healthy, balanced diet for the many ethnic groups attending the University 7 days a week throughout the full academic year which starts around late February- March to November each.
Catering services are provided to over 2,000 registered young academics on campus, The Timber Forestry College and The Bulolo University College.
- The main campus at Taraka is situated about 20 minutes by road outside of Lae and has a population on campus of over 7,000 people.
- The Timber & Forestry College is within the town vicinity
- Bulolo University college is located 2.5 hours out of Lea heading in the same direction as Hidden Valley.
In 2005 – NCS were invited to take over the catering services on campus and since then have developed measures and standards that have never before been met. A large number of new commercial equipment has been installed since 2005 and now with the mess operating it’s own bakery facilities all bakery items are prepared and cooked on site. The friendly approach has lead to a unity of understanding between the contractor and the customer.
NCS have a good relationship with the students on campus and do their best at all times to ensure their dietary needs are well taken care of.
